Huge Status Update Porting Nokia N97 Tweaks and Homescreen To Nokia 5800

N97 Homescreen is ported to Nokia 5800 and Nokia 5530. PNHT have done it again. The porting is done by Steven25. He told that the porting is done successfully with the core editor developed by Szakalit and Adonix. The porting also have opened a new way of editing firmware such as editing the most important file of firmware called the core file. The core editor is not yet released you can see details of core editor here

Steven25 told that the N97 homescreen is done by editing the core of Nokia 5800 and replacing it with 90% of Nokia N97 firmware files.

Here we have some great status updates.

Things till now ported to 5800:

  • Rotation effects
  • 4×5 menu style
  • Web browser of n97
  • Music player of n97
  • Vlingo,Boingo. Optional
  • Kinetic scrolling thoughout
  • Radio with rds

Bugs Need to be Fixed:

  • Bluetooth only can send file not receive file (working progress)
  • Camera still not working at all (work in progress)
  • See old bugs here
