Symbian^3 for touchscreens gets major UI change after PR 2.0 update

We posted that the S^3 PR 2.0 update brings curved icons and new browser. We just came to know that the PR 2.0 is just the minor update for the Major Symbian UI change which will be coming around Autumn. Closer look at the PR 2.0 and Symbian Major UI change slide reveals the icons and their shapes are same in both slides confirming that the PR 2.0 is a minor update for major Symbian overhaul.

 

According to Danijel Dercksen from AllAboutPhones he said that the

The Product Manager of Nokia Netherlands has confirmed that the major update to the UI of Symbian OS will be released around autumn. A few months earlier in the summer will be a smaller update to come out of the first innovations will bring with it.

We hope that the update is common for all devices than just N8 and E7 . First of all get Ready for the awesome PR 2.0 and then the big Symbian UI Update. Well it clearly reveals Stephen Elop have big plans for Symbian tooo. Rejoice!!1

      Hi Rajesh I played with an E7 just before two days it is released with PR 1.1 so you need to manually update to PR 2.0 when its out.
